We understand that sick happens and life doesn’t pause when your child is ill or recovering from an injury. When daycare or school isn’t an option, Danie the Sick Kid Nannie steps in to provide in-home care from an emergency medical professional, keeping your little one safe, comfortable, and cared for—so you can focus on your day without worry. From gentle companionship and hydration reminders to symptom monitoring, every detail is designed to give parents confidence and kids the comfort they need—all from the familiar surroundings of home. 

Inspired by her experience in mobile urgent care, Danie now provides in-home sick care for kids.

  • Core Sick Kid Nannie services: comfort, companionship, meals/snacks preparation, hydration, and supervision
  • Medical Monitoring: vitals tracking, symptom logs, first aid readiness

  • Optional virtual check-ins
  • Guidance and immediate alerts if symptoms worsen

Can Danie the nannie Help? Here’s How to Know

  • Common colds, mild coughs, runny nose
  • Low-grade fever (typically under 101°F, unless pediatrician advises otherwise)
  • Mild earache or sore throat (already seen by a doctor or pending visit)
  • Stomach upset without severe vomiting/diarrhea
  • Minor injuries: small cuts, scrapes, bruises, bumps
  • Post-doctor care for minor illness, injury (rest, meds, monitoring)
  • Mild asthma (if inhaler already prescribed and available)
  • General “not feeling well” days that keep kids out of school/daycare

  • High fever (over 102°F ) 
  • Severe vomiting/diarrhea, dehydration signs
  • Difficulty breathing, wheezing, or respiratory distress
  • Suspected flu, RSV, strep, or contagious conditions needing medical evaluation
  • Seizures or seizure history without clearance
  • Severe pain (ear, throat, abdominal, etc.)
  • Broken bones, deep cuts needing stitches, or head injuries
  • Any condition requiring prescription medication that hasn’t been started yet

Using the Sick Kid form below, tell us your child’s symptoms and what is going on.

Danie reviews the request to confirm your child’s illness or injury is a safe fit for in-home care.  Once approved, you’ll receive a pay link to finalize your half-day or full-day booking and payment.

Once your booking is confirmed, Danie will review the details you provided to ensure she’s fully prepared for your child’s needs.

On the day of care, Danie arrives  with all supplies and a plan to provide comfort, monitoring, and health informed support. You’ll receive updates, giving you peace of mind while your sick kid rests and recovers at home.

 A: Yes, but please fill out a separate form for each child to ensure we have accurate medical and emergency information. 


A: Danie will contact emergency services immediately if needed and notify you right away. If necessary,  she will contact your pediatrician about any concerning symptoms. 


 A: Ideally, submit your form as soon as you know your child will need care. Same-day requests are considered based on availability. 


A: Yes! You can select your preferred hours directly on the booking page. Danie will confirm availability after reviewing the intake form.
